Lok Sabha speaker Meira Kumar lauds role of Indian entrepreneurs

Meira Kumar today praised the Indian entrepreneurs for playing a "pivotal" role in integrating the Indian economy.

NEW DELHI: Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar today praised the Indian entrepreneurs for playing a "pivotal" role in integrating the Indian economy and acting as a crucial interface between rural and urban.

"They not only play a pivotal role in integrating Indian economy, they also serve as a crucial interface between rural and urban as also between the organised and unorganised sectors," the Speaker said.

Launching a book titled 'India Land of a billion entrepreneurs', she so described as "genius" the Indian growth model in deploying its highly skilled middle class in knowledge based economy.

She said the book, penned by Upendra Kachru, acknowledges the contribution of unknown heroes of Indian business, the nano entrepreneurs, the panwalla, the vegetable vendor, the hawker etc and such people who are the backbone of Indian economy.
