Lok Sabha polls: Smriti Irani attacks Rahul Gandhi, Kumar Vishwas

AMETHI: BJP candidate Smriti Irani today questioned Rahul Gandhi why the development promised by him to people across the country was not visible in Amethi and accused him of neglecting the constituency.

She also dismissed AAP leader Kumar Vishwas as the 'B Team' of Congress and alleged that he does not know how to respect women.

Targeting the Congress vice president, she said, "Rahul makes promises to people all across the country of providing medical facilities, education and making women self reliant, but all these things are not visible in Amethi which lags behind in all sectors of development."

On being termed as an outsider, Irani questioned was Sonia Gandhi born in Amethi.

Attacking Vishwas, whose remarks against Kerala nurses had sparked a controversy, Irani said, "If he does not know how to respect women, how he would respect the people.

"He is the B team of Congress and can say anything to remain in news," she said.
