LUCKNOW: The Samajwadi Party today replaced its candidates, including a minister, for two Lok Sabha seats from Uttar Pradesh and announced its nominee for Robertsganj Parliamentary constituency in the state.

Mohammad Masood will be the Samajwadi Party candidate from Sharavasti Lok Sabha seat replacing Yasir Shah, party GS Ramgopal Yadav said in a release here.

Kailash Chaurasia will be the new party candidate from Varanasi in place of Surendra Singh Patel, he said.

Shah is the son of minister Waqar Ahmad Shah while Patel is minister of State for PWD and Irrigation.

The party has decided to field Manoj Kumar Singh from Robertsganj constituency, the release said.
