Lok Sabha polls: RJD may tie-up with Congress in Jharkhand
RANCHI: Days after reaching a seat sharing agreement with Congress in Bihar, RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav is making similar efforts in Jharkhand for the ensuing general elections.

"Our party chief is in a dialogue with the Congress for a tie-up in Jharkhand also after the two parties reached pre-poll seat sharing agreement in Bihar," RJD's Jharkhand unit spokesman Manoj Kumar said here today. "The Jharkhand unit of the RJD has sent proposal to Lalu Prasad Yadav that it would like to contest Chatra and Palamau seats, and a final decision will be taken by him after the party's discussions with the Congress," Kumar added.

The JMM yesterday left ten out of the 14 LS seats for the Congress in Jharkhand while announcing to contest Giridih, Jamshedpur, Raj Mahal and Dumka seats. The RJD and the Congress are alliance partners in the JMM-led government in Jharkhand. Senior Congress leader and Ranchi MP Subodh Kant Sahay had on March 5 suggested to take RJD in the pre-poll tie-up, indicating the Congress should give a couple of seats to RJD.
