Lok Sabha Polls: Parties who have contested repeatedly and won few or no seats

Over the course of three elections in 1984, 1989, and 1991, the Doordarshi party fielded candidates in over 716 seats across the country. It failed to win even a single one, and till this day holds the worst record in Indian election history in terms of seats won versus candidates contested





It fielded 97 candidates in 1984, 298 in 1989, and 321 in 1991. In every single case, candidates lost their deposits

4 Parties (DDP,AJBP,LKD(B),JNP(JP)) have never won an election even after contesting more than 100 elections
