According to EC sources, Saharanpur witnessed 68.40 per cent polling till reports last came in, while 64.90 per cent voting was reported from Kairana, and 63.53 electorates exercised there franchise in Muzaffarnagar.
Similarly, Bijnore had 62.96 per cent polling, Meerut 60.50 per cent, Baghpat 61.52 per cent, Ghaziabad 57.42 per cent, Gautam Buddha Nagar 47.20 per cent, Bulandshahr 61.60 per cent and Aligarh 55.60 per cent.
The electoral fortunes of 146 candidates were sealed in the EVMs today in the 10 Lok Sabha seats, where a total of 1.74 crore voters -- 95.96 lakh men and 78.37 lakh women --were eligible to exercise their franchise.
