Congress candidate Chandresh Kumari Katoch got defeated by BJP's new face Gajendra Singh Shekhawat at Jodhpur Lok Sabha seat.

JAIPUR: Congress candidate and Union minister Chandresh Kumari Katoch could not retain her Jodhpur Lok Sabha seat and got defeated by BJP's new face Gajendra Singh Shekhawat by a landslide margin of 4,10,051.

Shekhawat secured 7,13,575 votes, whereas Kumari got 3,03,464 votes.

She belongs to Himachal Pradesh and brought to Jodhpur by Ashok Gehlot and ex-royal Gajsingh in the last Lok Sabha polls in 2009.
