Lok Sabha polls 2014: Sushil Modi resorts to poetry to criticise Lalu Prasad

PATNA: BJP leader and campaigner-in-chief Sushil Kumar Modi on Sunday waxed poetic on Twitter to criticize RJD chief Lalu Prasad and his "hidden alliance" with CM Nitish Kumar.

No names taken, he used Lalu's party symbol the lantern, saying the light was dimming and thus the party turned to Nitish for a 'poll understanding' on some seats. Modi's verse went thus: "Khatm ho raha lalten ka tel, tabhi ho raha JD(U) se kaafi seaton par mel".

The lantern's oil is burning low, thus the warming up to JD(U) on seats).

He also warned Lalu: "JD(U) ki tarah aap chala rahe bina pahiye ki rail, Unhin ki tarah dekhna aap bhi honge fail." (You're running a train without wheels like JD(U), and will fail just as it has.)

For Nitish, he spells defeat. "Iss chunao mein janata ko kaise bewakoof banaoge, Vote paane ke liye kaun sa naya kartab dikhaoge, Congress ko pakde rakhna, phir bhi maat khaoge, laakh koshish kar lo, Modi ki hawa mein bah jaoge." (What new trick will you play to fool the people this election, even if you hold on to the Congress, you'll still be swept aside by the Modi wave.)
