Lok Sabha polls 2014: Narendra Modi gave land to friends at throwaway prices, says Priyanka Gandhi

RAE BARELI: Priyanka Gandhi Vadra lashed out at Narendra Modi on Friday while campaigning for her mother, Congress president Sonia Gandhi, accusing BJP's PM candidate of giving away land in Gujarat at throwaway prices to his " friends" and taking him on over his recent jibes such as the acronym RSVP to describe the ruling party's first family.

"People of the country know about the 'Gujarat Model' of development, wherein thousands of acres of lands in the state were given away to friends for pittance," Gandhi said at Sareni in Rae Bareli.

Questioning Modi's much-lauded model of development, she said, "If they want power, they need to tell us, where the place for farmers are in their model. Why is labour so undervalued in your model? What have you done for women? Ask them what they will do for you and how they will do so. Ask them these questions. It is your right to know the answers."

Priyanka Gandhi Vadra had earlier raised the issue of surveillance of a woman in Gujarat on alleged directions from the leadership in the state where Modi is serving as chief minister.
