RANCHI: An estimated 55.93 per cent of the electorate voted till 3 pm in the four Lok Sabha constituencies for the third and last phase of polling in Jharkhand today.

Polling was going on peacefully in Dumka, Raj Mahal and Godda Lok Sabha constituencies, official sources said.

Barring a minor clash between supporters of Congress and Marxist Coordination Committee which left four Congressmen injured in Dhanbad, polling was peaceful, the police said.

There was a report of defect in an EVM at the Police Lines in Dhanbad, but it was immediately repaired, sources said.

Altogether 61,04,050 voters, including 28,84,434 women, were eligible to exercise their franchise in 7,454 booths and decide the fate of 72 candidates contesting the four seats.

The first phase of polling for four seats was held on April 10 and the second phase for six seats was held on April 17.
