The explosives were suspected to have been kept by militants to sabotage the polling today.

HAFLONG: A huge quantity of explosives, including RDX was seized from Assam's Dima Hasao district by security forces just hours before the Lok Sabha polls today.

Assam Rifles(AR) sources said during a joint operation by AR and police, one kg RDX, two Chinese and two Indian grenades, 22 gelatin sticks, four detonators, an AK-56 rifle and 24 rounds of live ammunition were seized from a jungle at Kavelo village near last night.

The explosives were suspected to have been kept by militants to sabotage the polling today.

Dima Hasao district falls under Autnomous District(SC) Lok Sabha constituency, where polling is on in the second phase in the state.
