Ritheeish was one of the three DMK MPs who had met Alagiri following his suspension from the party initially after leadership squabbles with his younger brother MK Stalin.

Lok Sabha elections: DMK MP from Ramanathapuram JK Ritheeish joins AIADMK
CHENNAI: DMK MP from Ramanathapuram and supporter of party's expelled Madurai leader M K Alagiri, JK Ritheeish, joined the ruling AIADMK today.

Ritheeish, also an actor, and a DMK student Wing leader from the district, K Nagasethupathy, also joined the party in the presence of Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa at her Poes Garden residence here, an AIADMK press release here said.

The Chief Minister gave them party ID cards taking them as primary members.

Ritheeish was one of the three DMK MPs who had met Alagiri following his suspension from the party initially after leadership squabbles with his younger brother MK Stalin.

The Madurai-based leader was finally expelled last month.
