Lok Sabha by-election in Warangal on November 21

The by-elections was necessitated by the resignation of Kadiam Srihari who became the deputy Chief Minister of Telangana.

HYDERABAD: More than 14 lakh voters would exercise their franchise in the by-poll for Warangal (SC) Lok Sabha constituency in Telangana on November 21.

The by-elections was necessitated by the resignation of Kadiam Srihari (TRS) who became the deputy Chief Minister of Telangana.

The total number of registered voters in the constituency is 14,75,311, but the electoral roll will be updated till the last date for filing nominations (November 4), Chief Electoral Officer of the state Bhanwar Lal told reporters here today.

The gazette notification for the poll would be issued on October 28. The last date for withdrawal of candidature is November 7 and the counting of votes would be taken up on November 24.

Live webcasting and videography would be done at all 1,751 polling stations.
