Lockdown, Day 73: Losing count

India’s Covid counters are clicking away, faster than ever with infections and deaths doubling in just over a fortnight.

If the pattern continues, India could cross three lakh cases, just as Tirupati and other religious places reopen to devotees.

President Trump’s favourite drug - hydroxycholroquine - just might not be that effective, with a recently retracted study finding that HCQ wasn’t much of a prophylaxis for COVID-19.
