A MeT official said the minimum temperature settled at 23.3 degrees Celsius, while the maximum temperature is expected to settle at 35 degrees Celsius.

NEW DELHI: The national capital, which has been lashed by heavy rains since the past four days, is likely to receive light rains today.

The city continued to receive more rain as 7.1 mm rain was recorded by the MeT department. The rainfall in various areas including Palam, Lodhi Road, Ridge and Aya Nagar was recorded at 2.0 mm, 6.7 mm, 2.6 and 16.0 mm, respectively.

Till Saturday, Delhi received 147.8 mm rainfall, the highest this season.

The rains brought down the temperatures significantly while enhancing humidity.

The minimum temperature of the day settled at 23.3 degrees Celsius, which is four notches below normal. The maximum temperature is expected to settle at 35 degrees Celsius, said a MeT official.

Humidity was recorded at 85 per cent at 8.30 AM. The Weatherman forecast the day to be partly cloudy with "very light rain" and thundershowers in some parts of the city.
