Life back to normal in Kashmir valley
Normal life resumed in Srinagar and other places in the Kashmir valley as protests ceased with the state government revoking the controversial order on forest land transfer to Amarnath shrine board.

SRINAGAR: After 10 days of violence, people thonged shops, government offices and business establishments resumed work and educational institutions reopened in this city and other major towns.
This followed withdrawal of the agitation by the two factions of Hurriyat Conference which asked the people to resume activities in the wake of the government cancelling the land transfer order on yesterday.
Vehicular traffic and inter-district bus services, which were at a standstill during the agitation, were back on the roads as government offices and banks resumed the work.
Five persons were killed and over 450 others including 100 policemen were injured in the past ten days in police firing and clashes between the demonstrators and the law enforcing agencies in the valley.
