Legislature session "farcical", says JDS leader Basavaraj Horatti

BELAGAVI: The winter session of legislature held here was more "farcical than fruitful", JDS leader in the Legislative Council Basavaraj Horatti alleged today after the House was adjourned sine die.

"I am pained by the way the business in the Houses went on", he told reporters here.

The government and main opposition BJP had no concern for the problem of north Karnataka region and both had adopted "policy of escapism", he charged.

"People of this region were not at all benefited by the session," he said in reply to a question. By this attitude, both Congress and BJP had added "fuel to the fire to the separate north Karnataka state mindset" he alleged.
