LDF protests during Governor's address in Kerala assembly
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The CPI(M)-led LDF opposition today raised slogans against the UDF Government headed by Oommen Chandy over LPG price rise and solar scam for a brief while during the presentation of the annual policy address to the state assembly by Governor Nikhil Kumar.

As soon as the Governor began his address, opposition Leader V S Achuthanadan stood up and protested the current round of hike in LPG prices.

The LDF members also floated banners displaying the slogan " Chief Minister should quit office" and placards decrying the hike in LPG prices.

The Governor, however, went on with his address laying down the broad contours of developmental and welfare schemes to be taken up the government in the year ahead.

After a few minutes, the opposition members resumed their seats but raised slogans again when the Governor concluded his address.
