A landmine and an IED planted by Maoists at a proposed polling station in a school under Kutumba Assembly constituency were recovered by securitymen early today.

AURAGABAD: A landmine and an IED planted by Maoists at a proposed polling station in a school under Kutumba Assembly constituency were recovered by securitymen early today.

Acting on an intelligence report, police carried out a search of the school campus and seized the explosives planted by the ultras, Director General of Police Neelmani said.

A bomb disposal squad is at the spot to defuse the explosives, he said.

Kutumba Assembly constituency in Aurangabad district goes to poll in the sixth and final phase of elections in Bihar on November 20.

Maoists have given a call for boycott of elections in Bihar.
