GUWAHATI: A powerful landmine explosion took place around 5.30 am in Assam's Sontipur district on Monday, One colonel and a jawan were killed in the blast.
A faction of the NDFB militant outfit is suspected to be behind the incident. According to police sources, the NDFB has a stong presence in the vicinity.
