Land for Swaminarayan Akshardham temple in Kurukshetra

The Haryana government will give land for construction of Swaminarayan Akshardham temple in Kurukshetra district, Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda announced.

CHANDIGARH: The Haryana government will give land for construction of Swaminarayan Akshardham temple in Kurukshetra district, Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda announced today.

New Delhi-based BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha had requested for allotment of a piece of land to construct a temple in Kurukshetra.

Eight to 10 acres of land will be given for the temple, an official release quoting Hooda said.

Kurukshetra is the land of Bhagavad Gita, which has over the years inspired humanity, and with the construction of Swaminarayan Akshardham temple, lot of pilgrims will visit Kurukshetra from all over the world, Hooda added.
