GREATER NOIDA: Rumours and conspiracy theories are swirling around in Bhatta Parsaul with many men from the villages yet to return home . On Wednesday , the villagers pointed to some burnt cowdung heaps , alleging that these contained the remains of some of those missing .

Wild allegations about people being beaten up and then burnt to death were made , but in the absence of any official statements or forensic investigation , the veracity of these statements remained very much in doubt.
