Land Acquisition Bill scrutiny completed: Government

The Group of Ministers has completed the scrutiny of the Land Acquisition Bill and the government intends to introduce it in the Lok Sabha in the Winter Session, the Rajya Sabha was informed today.

NEW DELHI: The Group of Ministers has completed the scrutiny of the Land Acquisition Bill and the government intends to introduce it in the Lok Sabha in the Winter Session, the Rajya Sabha was informed today.

"This Department intends to introduce the official amendments to the LARR Bill, 2011 (Land Acquisition and Rehabilitation and Resettlement Bill) in the Lok Sabha in the Winter Session of the Parliament," Minister of State for Rural Development Lal Chand Kataria said in a written reply.

The GoM has finalised its report and the matter is in the process of being placed before the Cabinet, he said.
