The attack comes a day after all the opposition parties attacked Reliance Jio's ad for using PM Modi's photo to announce the launch of its 4G services.

"What will the poor eat? Atta ( wheat flour) or data? Data is cheaper, atta is dearer. This is their definition of changing the country. While you're at it, please explain who will solve the problem of call drops," Lalu Prasad tweeted in Hindi on Saturday afternoon.

The attack comes a day after all the opposition parties attacked Reliance Jio's advertisement in major newspapers of the country for using Prime Minister Narendra Modi's photo to announce the launch of its 4G services. Through its ads, Reliance Jio had dedicated the launch to Modi government's Digital India project which aims at making the entire country digitally empowered by improving the technological infrastructure and internet connectivity.
Earlier, Arvind Kejriwal had slammed the advertisement, saying, "Modiji you keep modelling for Reliance ads. Labourers across the country will teach you a lesson in 2019". In a series of subsequent tweets, Kejriwal further lambasted the advertisement and PM Modi's association with it.
मोदी जी। आप रिलायंस के ऐड में मॉडलिंग करते रहना। देश की सारी लेबर मिलके आपको 2019 में सबक़ सिखाएगी

On the other hand, Congress had suggested that Prime Minister should take action against Reliance Jio for using his photo without taking due permission from the PMO.
