Lalu Prasad Yadav ready for stir after House session
NEW DELHI: Overlooking the stand of alliance partner JD(U), RJD chief Lalu Prasad has indicated that his party was set to raise the pitch against the Narendra Modi government over the hardships caused by the currency replacement drive.

Prasad has called a meeting of legislators, district unit chiefs and former legislators in Patna on Saturday to chart out RJD’s struggle against the drive. The move holds significance as JDU has supported the Centre’s currency replacement drive.

“Nitish stands isolated within the grand-alliance (in Bihar). Apart from RJD and Congress in the grand alliance, JD(U)’s former president Sharad Yadav too has taken a strong position against demonetisation.

The public that supports the Grand Alliance is amused about Nitish’s stance,” RJD vice-president Raghuvansh Prasad Singh told ET over phone from Bihar.
