Lala Lajpat Rai's native village turns IT enabled
MOGA: Dhudike, the native place of 'Punjab Kesari' Lala Lajpat Rai has become the first village in Punjab to come under the centre's 'Digital India' programme, a senior officer said today.

Deputy Commissioner Parminder Singh Gill inaugurated WiFi Internet service here at the ancestral village of Rai.

The project has been executed by Punjab National Bank, which has adopted the village and also runs a school, a sewing centre as well as skill development centre in the village, he said.

Lala Lajpat Rai was the founder of Punjab National Bank.
