Lal Thanhawala likelty to be elected Mizoram Pradesh Congress Committee chief unopposed

Mizoram Chief Minister Lal Thanhawla is likely to be elected unopposed as MPCC chief in party elections on December 3 here, party sources said here.

AIZAWL: Mizoram Chief Minister Lal Thanhawla is likely to be elected unopposed as MPCC chief in party elections on December 3 here, party sources said here.

The ruling Mizoram Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) has already selected Lal Thanhawla as the official candidate for the state party president for the elections, an MPCC press statement today said.

Home Minister R Lalzirliana and State Planning Board Vice Chairman H Liansailova have also been selected as official candidates for the posts of Vice President and Treasurer respectively.

They too are likely to be elected unopposed in their respective posts, they said. All the three have been holding the respective posts for the past ten years.
