Ladakh Development Council poll: No party gets clear majority
Congress won 12 seats, including two Independents backed by the party, while National Conference and its allies bagged 11 seats.

"Congress won 12 seats, including two Independents backed by the party, while National Conference and its allies bagged 11 seats," election officer and Additional Deputy Commissioner of Kargil, Hassan Khan said.
Three Independents, including two unopposed, were also elected to the LAHDC, for which counting of votes finished late last night, he said.
Opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and BJP drew a blank in the polls.
Although National Conference and Congress are ruling the state in a coalition government, the parties contested the council polls separately.
The polling was held on August 22.
