Labour union leader Nihil Mehta to participate in G 20 Summit

AHMEDABAD: Ahmedabad-based labour leader, Nihil Mehta will participate in the meetings to be held as a part of G-20 Summit in Moscow starting Wednesday.

Sixty six years old, Mehta, a prominent labour lawyer and also a general secretary of Indian Trade Union Congress (INTUC), will represent the labourers of India. Union Finance Minister P Chidambaram is also participating in the Summit.

Minister of Labour from various countries and trade representatives will also be a part of various delegations that will deliberate upon rising unemployment, its implications on society, lay offs by various governments amongst a host of other issues.
