Kumaraswamy to present Karnataka State Budget on July 5

Chief Minister H.D.Kumaraswamy will present the JD(S)-Congress coalition government's budget on July 5. The Legislature session will begin on July 2, with Governor's address to the joint session.

The first full-fledged Cabinet meeting chaired by the Chief Minister on Friday decided to announce its the coalition regime's priorities in the Governor's address, Law & Parliamentary Affairs Minister Krishna Byre Gowda said. The Legislature session will go on till July 12.

HORATTI PROTEM CHAIRMAN: The Cabinet also decided to appoint senior JD(S) leader Basavaraj Horatti as protem Chairman of the Legislative Council. The post has fallen vacant after D.H.Shankaramurthy's retirement on Thursday.
