Karnataka CM Kumaraswamy says was a backbencher during college days

The JD(S) leader became chief minister of Karnataka after the BJP-led government of B S Yeddyurappa resigned before facing a floor test in the Karnataka Assembly.

Kumaraswamy was quick to take the support offered by the Congress party and formed the government.
Karnataka chief minister H D Kumaraswamy who formed a government with support from the Congress revealed some interesting traits about his personality while he was young during a ceremony at his alma mater National Degree College.

"I was a dadda (dimwit) and feared lecturers would shoot questions at me if I sat in the front bench. I always sat on the last bench,” Kumaraswamy said, according to a report in Times of India.

He was felicitated during the centenary celebrations of National Education Society of Karnataka. Kumaraswamy graduated in science from the collge.
