Kumar Vishwas at DJB meet by chance: AAP

NEW DELHI: The presence of Kumar Vishwas, an AAP member, at the announcement about water subsidy on Monday, raised several eyebrows. People questioned his presence at the dais when the Delhi Jal Board CEO, Vijay Kumar, was making the announcement as Vishwas is not an MLA.

However, party sources clarified that Vishwas’ presence was a sheer chance and AAP was clear about the demarcation between party members and government representatives.

"The water subsidy announcement was not to be made by Kumar, but when he reached the main gate after meeting Kejriwal, the media forced him to issue a statement . There was a single table there and Vishwas was already addressing NDMC staff which had reached Kejriwal’s house to protest against something. So the CEO addressed the media while Vishwas was sitting there," said a source.
