According to the verdict, Andhra Pradesh gets maximum share of surplus water, followed by Karnataka and then Maharashtra.

The verdict was to decide on the sharing of Krishna River's surplus water.

Andhra Pradesh will get 1000 TMC-ft of surplus water, Karnataka gets 911 TMC-ft and Maharashtra will get 666 TMC-ft.

The tribunal has also asked all three states not to divert the water.
