Krishna Allavaru appointed Cong's all-India joint secretary

Allavaru, a close aide of Gandhi, will also be in-charge of the Indian Youth Congress (IYC) in place of AICC secretary Suraj Hegde.

NEW DELHI: Congress president Rahul Gandhi today approved the appointment of Krishna Allavaru as the party's all-India joint secretary.

Allavaru, a close aide of Gandhi, will also be in-charge of the Indian Youth Congress (IYC) in place of AICC secretary Suraj Hegde.

Announcing the appointment, Congress general secretary Janardan Dwivedi said the party appreciates the work done by Hegde, who will be stepping down from his responsibilities.
