Prior to his retirement from the skill development ministry in December last year, the 1983 batch Karnataka cadre IAS officer served as a special and additional secretary of the department of land resources.
Former secretary of the ministry of skill development and entrepreneurship, KP Krishnan, has joined the National Council of Applied Economic Research (NCAER).

Krishnan assumed the position of the Investor Education and Protection Fund (IEPF) chair professor in regulatory economics, NCAER said.

“Krishnan will lead a group focused on research and policy outreach in the broad area of regulatory and public economics....,” said a NCAER statement.


Prior to his retirement from the skill development ministry in December last year, the 1983 batch Karnataka cadre IAS officer served as a special and additional secretary of the department of land resources.

The veteran bureaucrat has also served as a joint secretary in the department of economic affairs and secretary to Prime Minister's Economic Advisory Council.
