Kolkata Police made seventh arrest in ABT case
KOLKATA: The Special Task Force of Kolkata Police has made seventh arrest in connection with the Ansarullah Bangla Team (ABT) case. Acting on a specific tip-off, the STF team picked up Mahi alias Md Aftab Khan from India-Nepal border point. Mahi is one of the key conspirators in ABT. According to sources, he was trying to sneak into Nepal.

ABT is a banned terrorist organisation in Bangladesh, and the members were involved in free thinker blogger’s murders in Bangladesh. The STF sources further added that Mahi is a Bangladeshi national and has several murder and attempt to murder cases against him.

Mahi went to kill a university professor in Dhaka with his associates. But before the plan could be executed police came and two of his aides were killed in an encounter. He, however, fled from the spot and later sneaked into India.
