Kolkata Police arrest YouTuber Roddur Roy from Goa for making ‘derogatory’ remarks against Mamata Banerjee
Earlier, Roddur Roy had even sang Rabindranath Tagore’s songs with slangs and he is known for his usage of foul language in his songs and youtube videos.

Roy allegedly made derogatory remarks against the West Bengal Chief Minister in connection with singer Rupankar Bagchi’s statement about deceased Bollywood singer KK, in a Facebook Live session. He also sparked controversy making derogatory remarks against singer Bagchi and also Mamata Banerjee’s nephew MP Abhishek Banerjee.
It is learnt that Roy had recently mocked Paschimbanga Bangla Academy’s decision for conferring the West Bengal Chief Minister with a special literary award.

Politicians, singers and people from various cross sections of the society have criticized the youtubber for his derogatory comments about the Chief Minister.
Roddur Roy has been arrested in Goa and will be brought to Kolkata on transit remand, police sources said.
It is learnt that Roddur Roy works in an IT company in New Delhi.
