NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today spoke to West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee about the situation arising out of the collapse of an under-construction flyover in Kolkata which has claimed 18 lives so far and left over 60 injured.

Modi, who is away in Washington, expressed grief over the tragedy and assured all possible support to the state government from the Centre, an official release said tonight.
