Kokrajhar terror attack: Questions being raised if it was done by local militant outfit
A senior official in state intelligence however stated that though the local militant outfit has adopted the style of Jehadi in the Kokrajhar attack.

Brahma, who is an MLA from Kokrajhar, told media persons that the style of operation did not resemble NDFB-S' style. "Let there be an investigation and the truth will emerge," she said.
Assam has been warned of attacks from Jehadi elements following a recent spate of attacks in Bangladesh. Jamaat-ul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) module is operating in the state.
Mukesh Sahay, Assam Director General of Police, recently said, "In the last two years, we have arrested 48 JMB operatives. However, two prime JMB operatives, Sahidul and Jahidul, are still absconding. We are on the lookout for them. We have been able to break the JMB module and some of the operatives are on the run."
Recently, there was a report that five people from Bangladesh had entered Assam through Meghalaya.
A senior official in state intelligence however stated that though the local militant outfit has adopted the style of Jehadi in the Kokrajhar attack. "However Jehadi activity in the state, which is mostly restricted to Lower Assam areas that include Kokrajhar, is limited to radicalization and has not reached the offensive stage."
