KK Paul to be sworn in as new Governor of Uttarakhand tomorrow

DEHRADUN: Krishna Kant Paul will be sworn in as the new Governor of Uttarakhand at the Raj Bhawan here tomorrow.

Chief Justice of Uttarakhand High Court K M Joseph will administer the oath of office and secrecy to him at a function in the Raj Bhawan premises at 12 PM, a Raj Bhawan release said.

Paul takes over from Aziz Qureshi who has been appointed the Governor of Mizoram.

A former IPS officer, Paul was earlier the Governor of Meghalaya with additional charge of Nagaland.

Paul is scheduled to arrive at the Jollygrant airport here this evening, where he will be given a Guard of Honour by the Provincial Armed Constabulary (PAC) to be followed by a Guard of Honour by the Army at the Raj Bhawan.
