GUWAHATI: With the death of militant leader Shangwang Shangyung Khaplang who led the Khaplang faction of NSCN, India believes the militant outfit with bases in Myanmar will be in disarray. Octogenarian Khaplang passed away on Friday in Taga in Myanmar.

Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju offered to rehabilitate Indian citizens who are in the NSCN-K if they abjure violence. “We appeal all the Indian Nagas in NSCN (K) to surrender. We will rehabilitate them,” Rijiju said.
