Khattar government failed to keep pre-poll promises: Bhupinder Singh Hooda
JIND (HARYANA): Former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda today hit out at the Manohar Lal Khattar government alleging the new dispensation has "failed" to fulfill any of the pre-poll promises it made to the people.

Addressing a public meeting at Kandela village organised here as part of the 'Jan Jagran Abhiyan', Hooda alleged that that BJP got votes out of "false promises".

He said that at the time of the election BJP had promised that villagers would get 24-hour power supply, farmers will get remunerative price of their produce, old age pension will be increased from Rs 1,000 to Rs 2,000 per month, payment of purchased crops would be made within 24 hours, "but none of the promises were fulfilled".

He further claimed that there were "154 promises" in the election manifesto of BJP which were "yet to be fulfilled".

Hooda said that common man, farmers, traders and employees are fed up with the alleged "anti-people" policies of the Centre as well as state government.

"The law and order situation has deteriorated in the state and the crime rate has increased manifold in Haryana," he charged.

He said the Khattar-led BJP government had failed on all fronts and no development has taken place since the party came to power in the state after Assembly polls in October last.

He alleged that Land Acquisition Bill of the Narendra Modi government was "anti-farmer, therefore the Congress party is opposing it".

Hooda said that Congress party would expose the alleged failure of the BJP government and would highlight the plight of the people of the state.

He said for this purpose the 'Abhiyan' has been started today from Kandela village.

Rohtak MP Deepinder Singh Hooda hit out at the Khattar regime too, saying it just uses phrases and jugglery of words "without actually delivering on the ground".
