March 2, 2006 : India and US sign nuclear agreement during Bush's visit to New Delhi
Apr 20, 2006 : US Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice says deal must be seen as part of growing ties.
May 12, 2006 : Nuclear separation plan tabled in Indian Parliament.
June 28, 2006 : US House of Representatives International Relations Committee passes bill to implement deal by 37-5.
June 29, 2006 : US Senate Foreign Relations Committee votes in favour of the deal.
July 26, 2006 : Prime Minister says India would not accept any new conditions in deal.
Nov 8, 2006 : Uncertainties over the bill after Democrat Senate and House elected in US mid-term polls.
Nov 30, 2006 : Rice writes to lawmakers cautioning that Indo-US ties could suffer if problem areas in the House and Senate bills were not addressed.
