Keshari Nath Tripathi sworn in as Tripura Governor

AGARTALA: Keshari Nath Tripathi, the incumbent Governor of West Bengal, today took oath of office of the Governor of Tripura as additional charge.

Chief Justice of the Tripura High Court Deepak Gupta administered him the oath of office and secrecy at the darbar hall of the Raj Bhavan here.

Tripathi said he would serve for development of the state during his stint and that he had came to Tripura for the first time.

Tripathi would return to Kolkata tomorrow.

Tripura Governor Tathagata Roy is on leave for a month and would return on November 3.
