Kerala Polls: United Democratic Front election manifesto promises alcohol-free state in 10 years
The ruling United Democratic Front (UDF) has released its election manifesto promising food, health and house for all, creation of 15 lakh jobs.

The election manifesto promises drinking water for the people in both rural and urban areas, interest-free loans to farmers and special focus on high-tech farming. To manufacture value added products the manifesto promises food processing units in all villages. UDF says in the Manifesto that it will give subsidy for organic farming and control of prices of food products.
Special programme to provide security for women would be implemented. The UDF promises 25 kg of free rice to BPL families while APL families would get it for Rs 7 per kg. Welfare board for the development of the transgender population, financial help of Rs 25,000 to encourage inter-caste marriage are the other major promises.
