KOCHI: Kerala opposition leader V S Achuthananthan has written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi seeking an inquiry on the alleged unaccounted wealth of the state chief secretary EK Bharat Bhushan.

In a letter to Narendra Modi, VS Achuthananthan has asked for a probe by the central vigilance commissioner on the matter. The Kerala opposition leader had recently alleged that the chief secretary has links with a real estate group. The opposition leader also alleged that the Chief Secretary did not reveal the correct information about his assets in the affidavit filed by him. Speaking on the issue, Chief Minister Oommen Chandy had recently said that the Chief Secretary need not reveal the land or property inherited by his wife.

In his letter to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Kerala opposition leader has asked for a clarification on the views expressed by the Chief Minister.
