Kerala High Court upholds suspension of Thrissur Chief Judicial Magistrate
KOCHI: Kerala High Court today upheld the suspension of Thrissur Chief Judicial Magistrate V P Indira Devi. Dismissing an appeal filed by the CJM, Justice C K Abdul Rahim declined to interfere with the order issued by the High Court Registry in March this year.

The magistrate was suspended after considering the preliminary report of vigilance. Bar Association of Chalakudy had referred a complaint against the magistrate alleging that she had met an absconding accused at the Chalakudy guest house on March 14 this year along with a DySP and held discussions.

The association, along with the complaint, produced photograph and CD of the incident. According to the complaint, the magistrate held discussions with Beena, an employee of the court, who was accused in a case relating to missing of fine receipts.
