Kerala government to file case against Vellappally Natesan over inflammatory speech
Kerala government is planning to register a case against Vellappally Natesan for allegedly fanning communal sentiments through his speech at Samatva Munnetta Yatra.

State home minister Ramesh Chennithala said that he has received complaints from KPCC president VM Sudheeran and Congress MLA TN Pratapan against the speech of Vellappally Natesan made against autorickshaw driver P Noushad, who lost his life while trying to save two labourers who were trapped in a manhole.
"The government is viewing the matter very seriously. The Home Secretary has been asked to look at the legal side of the matter," he said, adding that a decision will be taken soon.
He said that the general view was that Vellappally Natesan's speeches are dividing the society along communal lines.Speaking at Aluva against the compensation announced by the government to P Noushad, Vel appally Natesan had alleged that he government showed favouri ism even in the distribution of compensation package. He had reportedly said that one should die as a Muslim to get compensa ion. CPM state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan said that Vellappally Natesan should be arrested or making a speech that can create communal tensions.
