Kerala government declares 'No Work No Pay' for September 2 union strike
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Congress-led UDF government in Kerala today announced 'Dies non-No Work No Pay' for employees who go on strike on September 2 as part of the nationwide agitation by different trade unions.

In an order, government said wages of those who participate in the strike would be withheld in October salary. Besides, strict conditions also have been laid out for sanctioning leave for its employees on that day.

The temporary staff would be removed from service if they were absent from work without prior permission.

Trade unions have called for the strike against the proposed labour reforms.

No leave would be granted to employees -- including gazetted officers, and teachers on the day, -- other than for emergencies, the order said.

Heads of departments have been told to collect attendance details from sub-offices with details, the order said.
