The Kerala CM highlighted that majority of nurses working both within India and abroad come from the state.
Kerala chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan wrote to his Delhi counterpart Arvind Kejriwal requesting him for the protection of nurses working across various healthcare facilities in Delhi.

The Kerala chief minister raised the issue with the Delhi Chief Minister after taking into congnisance the plight of nurses in Delhi who have requested for PPE and separate accommodation for those nurses who are infected and those who have no symptoms.

"I request that immediate action may be taken to alleviate concerns of nurses from Kerala working in Delhi. Concerned officials may be directed to urgently ensure that utmost protection is given to them," the Kerala CM wrote.


The Kerala CM highlighted that majority of nurses working both within India and abroad come from the state.

On Moday, Vijayan raised the issue of protection of nurses in Delhi and Maharashtra owing to lack of PPE with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. A PTI report quoted a Kerala government official stating that the Kerala CM wrote to PM Modi urging for his attention to the situation.
